About the show

The IPM on the Fly podcast is brought to you by the UGA Extension IPM Program with funding from the USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture. Expert guests join us for light-hearted, yet informative conversations each month that will highlight various topics in integrated pest management.

Meet the Hosts

Emily Cabrera

Emily is the communications coordinator for the UGA IPM Program. She writes articles for the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences and works with specialists on a wide range of programs in the College. A history in farming, Extension and education coupled with a sincere love of chit chat, Emily wants this podcast to be non-stuffy conversations with experts – just plainspoken – that everyone can relate to.

Michele Hatcher

Michele works for the University of Georgia entomology department where she writes articles regularly for UGA which focus on the many aspects of entomology, and she edits the department’s newsletter. A former journalist and newspaper editor, Michele naturally enjoys asking questions and partaking in lively discussions. She grew up on a commercial cattle farm in Louisiana where her love of agriculture took root.
